Melayne Seitoung "Whale 69. The whales who succeed and the whales who suck eggs"

Formerly involved in Paneuropean Architecture, a short-living plundernoise band from Nantes (France, 1992), Seitoung works still extend the pioneer plunderphonics theory of composer John Oswald in the noise space.
In this special EP, "Whale 69. The whales who succeed and the whales who suck eggs", Seitoung has used humpback whale songs he has recorded in the deep water around Tahiti island as a primary sound material. Noise sounds generated by a Whale WPSL-ST guitar are also minor primary material. Preexisting pop songs constitute the secondary "borrowed" material, emulated through a Commodore 64 program. Following the plunderphone theory, borrowed material acts as a reminiscence of the original song in the final mix. Composed in 2009.

"Whale 69" is the 69th psalm of The Whaly Bible.

The Whaly Bible is a rewriting of the Old Testament using whale voices. Melayne Seitoung is the overwriter in charge of the codification of whales voices into the noise space.
The whole project gathers at least 150 psalms. Apostles are expected to join Melayne Seitoung on peculiar psalm. The Whaly Bible is the foundation soundbook of the Church of Whalologie.

La Bible Sotalique est une réécriture de l'Ancien Testament à partir de voix de cétacés. Melayne Seitoung est le surnarrateur chargé de recoder les voix baleinières dans l'espace noise. Le projet rassemble au moins 150 psaumes. De nombreux apotres sonores sont susceptibles de collaborer au projet pour la réécriture de certains psaumes.
La Bible Sotalique est le livre fondateur de l'Eglise de Baleinologie.
